Corruption -- An epidemic

Fuel spilled all over my wings
Inhumane minds , They set me on fire
They laughed at me and said
Passionate flyer, can you fly now higher and higher

Born fighter I was,I couldn't see them laugh
Pushed to the corner was my conscience
I decided to fly , to newer heights
Thought wind will blow the fire off, forgot the basic science

Wind helped the fire grow big on me,
Only thing which could have saved me was a miracle
Body and senses had a reason to resign,
as the agony was about to reach the pinnacle

Someone showed me a sea of corruption
told me to take a dip to survive the flames
Tempting waters had its own magnetism
But I was strong,I would never fall to such games

Moments passed , I was burnt off to death
Winds blew away the ashes of change to some unknown space
I was happy, I tried until the last gasp of air
I took the flight of faith, and won the race

I hope, Ashes of change would fall on some brutes
Minds might change and they may switch to positive side
They might be in sea of corruption for sure
Let them gather the strength to swim against the tide.

February 14---OOps :)

February 14th, the day couples in the entire world celebrate as Valentine’s Day. But for me, it was just another day in the calendar which was still 14 days far from my most awaiting day “Salary Day”. As usual I was busy with my best friend, Microsoft outlook, Reading some junk mails and replying to some of the important emails. The day went on smoothly and the clock struck 6  and I thought of leaving early that day as I had to meet my friend.
                                                                ************************
Bus Stop: 6:30 Pm

After being stuck whole day in my so called flexible chair, here I was flexing muscles a bit in the bus stop waiting to catch the bus to go to Banashankari. After waiting for around 22 minutes to be specific, there came the Volvo Bus. And whenever I see a bus, I hear someone firing a gun and the sprinter in me comes out to find a seat in the bus. I was about to enter the bus, someone stopped me, a guy in white and white dress. For a second in my mind I was thinking I didn’t cross any international sea border illegally why he is stopping me? , Believe me he looked like a Naval Officer for a moment. But I realized soon that he was the bus conductor and I stopped thinking too much.

"Sir…. One Banashankari" I asked conductor for a ticket.

"Sir 25Rs" He replied with a rough North Karnataka accent as if he would take it from my pocket if I didn't give.

I took the 50Rs note which I had and handed over it to him.

"Don't you have the change??"He asked me as if I was looking like the Ex- RBI governor.

"I don't have" I replied.

He gave me the looks as if he would be enacting role of a Boxer in an upcoming movie and he wants to rehearse it with me.He somehow seemed to control his adrenaline rush and wrote 25 behind the ticket and gave it to me.I checked the back of ticket I could see two snakes almost mating for the first time. I have never seen such numerical 25 in my life. I controlled my laughter because I didn’t want to have a brawl with the conductor as he looked well-built and it was sure I would lose the fight.

My next focus was on finding a place to park my bum**.

** Conditions Apply: The place should have nice AC and I should be able to view the whole Bangalore’s Beauty (Normal Layman’s term they call it a Window seat).

I managed to find a seat in third row which suited all my conditions .I took my seat and started my journey towards Banashankari, earphones fixed into ears listening to all my favorite songs.

                                                                ***********************
After few minutes:

Bus had moved on almost 2-3kms and the next stop came.

Like every guy in the bus I was peeping through the window, as my eye balls were demanding me to see something interesting, beautiful apart from the monitor.

Meanwhile, one girl stepped inside. I just looked at her, I wasn’t able to get a glimpse and repeated attempts to breach the security of her curly hairs were failed. Disappointed I started peeping outside once again. But That I got up and didn’t see the mirror I guess. I was lucky. To my surprise she came and sat in the seat which was perfectly opposite and facing towards me.

And the next few minutes were the moments which I can never forget in my Life.

She was so beautiful. Her curly hairs did compliment her face completely. “Miracle does happen" quote came into mind at that time. Yes, she was indeed a miracle. She was so beautiful looking female I had ever seen (at least in Bangalore).I could hear my heartbeat murmuring "The miss Bangalore 2014 is .....”. Coincidentally my mobile started singing Om Shanti Om movie song at that time “Aaankhon me teri….Ajab si AJab si ”. Like me Even mobile looked at her  as a Potential Competitor to Deepika Padukone.

My eye balls were so happy seeing her and started thanking me for sitting in that place. To be frank, I could not take my eyes off her. Mind had already started the calculations about her age, work. All kind of Nonsense guessing was going on in my mind. In fact my mind started thinking what should be the one-liner should I use to Impress her. I was Crazy , is the right phrase to explain my situation.

She observed that I was looking at her (Staring is too harsh for beautiful Lady). And she started to be more conscious. I could make out that she was getting nervous. Her frequency of watching her mobile and touching her hair had increased. After sometime she started looking back at me and this game went on for long. I was enjoying every minute of that journey. Like every story has an end. Unfortunately the stop where she had to get down came very soon. She got up from her seat looking at me and smiled. A Smile which almost gave me enough energy that I decided I will also get down in that stop.

I got down in that stop. She turned back; she was surprised to see me getting down at that stop. She looked happy. She smiled and I smiled.

I went to her moving my hand towards her I said “Hi I am Gopal”.

She replied “Banashankari”

Started shouting “Banashankari Banashankari…..” and suddenly

I opened my eyes and I saw that Naval Officer sorry conductor staring at me and shouting

“Banashankari Last Stop Get down……”

Go on ...

Life was getting bored
until she had entered his heart
Heart became playground
she played there really smart

She was his only fate
what he had  thought
He always lost the battle
whenever they fought

She left him stranded
in the middle of the road
He could not accept it
It was too heavy load

His eyes filled with tears anytime
might be day or night
To Come out of the shock it was tough
somehow he came out with a fight

He Understood the value of life
but it took him a while
Nowadays only one way
he laughs and make others smile

Life is a roller coaster ride
filled with  dusk and dawn
Whatever it may happen
Show must always go on

A hard bullet to bite .....

The sun was about to scratch the cloud out of its way and make its presence felt on the earth. The flight came rushing through that cloud and landed with a noise as if it wanted to wake up someone.

He came running  out of the airport. The black colored jacket was hanging on his shoulders and were about to touch his feet from the back.Hairs were blowing in all the directions in that cold breezy morning. His eyes were so red and were telling the story that he didn't sleep that night in the whole journey. He was searching for the taxi which was supposed to pick him up.Somewhere in the distance he read his name on a placard and he ran got on to that cab.Cab started moving slowly out of the parking area towards his  home which was about 25 kms from the airport.

He was murmuring something to himself  in the car, Driver asked him "What happened sir??".He literally screamed in anger "Its none of your business.Just concentrate on your work.Go fast.". Driver, frustrated with the answer just continued his driving cursing him with a low tone.
He was getting restless with every minute. He wanted to reach his home as soon as possible. Its been 5 long years he had been to India. But instead of being happy he was sad.

After a journey of 40 mins he reached his home.He came out of the cab and saw his house. He was watching a house which once looked like a palace , now had the dark patches all over its wall and the nameplate outside the gate which once had his surname written,  now had only one alphabet "A" left on it.He was not ready to react to any of these. He ignored it and went inside the gate.He saw the path covered with the dry leaves. It looked as if the path didn't see a broomstick since long time.He went further inside. He saw his cousin standing at the entrance of his house. He went near to him.He could see lot of questions in his cousins eyes.Cousin didn't look into his eyes.He told to his cousin"Driver is waiting.Give him the money... I couldn't withdraw money".Cousin just shook his head.

He stepped inside into the hall.He could see only  thick dust covered everywhere. He was realizing every minute ,how much his mother was ill .Each tear drop of his was making a mark on the floor. He further walked in, to his surprise he saw something written on the dust covered black color TV screen. It seems eventhough she was illeterate she had learnt to write her sons name.It was "VISHWA" his name which she had written. On the top of the TV he had one more surprise. His family photo which looked as if it was framed yesterday. It seems his mother used to clean it everyday even in illness. After looking at the photo,he was realizing how much she missed her husband and her son.He was sinking at that moment.

He had left to US within 15 days of his fathers death. He fought with his mother. He told that he cannot miss that opportunity.Even though she opposed, he somehow convinced her that this is for his and her betterment. Once he reached there, He became so busy that he used to call his mother once or twice in a month. He used to transfer money to his cousins account.Cousin used to get all the necessary things for his mother.Even when he came to know that his mother is not well.He called his cousin to take care of her.It seems that he had one important career changing assignment at that time.

Now, With every step towards that room he was realizing how much she would have missed him and his father. He stood outside the room.He saw her laying on the bed and he could feel she is waiting for someone in those closed eyes.He went near to the bed.Every minute, he was feeling heavier and his feet couldn't take his weight anymore. He collapsed on to that chair next to the bed.He slowly held his mothers hand and said "Open your eyes... Your son is ..".He couldn't complete  the sentence. He suddenly felt some hand on his shoulders. It was his cousin. He said with a heavy tone"She left us..............".
Bereavement wasn't just a word by then.

Govindaaa... aala re aala

In the world of Khans,Kapoors...There were some heroes who captured my eyes and heart .
This blog is just a tribute to one of those who according to me was a  superstar of his generation.

Mai to raste se jaa raha tha...whenever this sentence someone whispers, one face comes in front of my eyes.A middle class next door boys face, yes its him..i guess you also had the same face infront of your eyes.

Govindaaaaa......yes its that guy who made look acting so simple, who made you smile whenever you watched him acting ,who had his own fan following in the world which was dominated by the supesrtars(Amitabh,Salman,Shahrukh) and moreover the most important point he made people like me to believe that dance is simple and ABCD ..any body can dance.

Let it be Kisi disco me jaaye......Let it be Mai to raste se jaa raha tha....Let it be Sona kitna Sona hai....
Let it be it happens only in India... Let it be Do you wanna partner..Each and every song was made more than special by his dancing shoes. The Steps were so easy yet so fabulous, you felt you should dance to that song.In the song Mere pyar ka ras zara chakna..he has matched each and every step to one of the greatest dancing diva of all time Madhuri Dixit. Bollywood and people like us were so privileged to have him on screen. I confess watching him the dancer inside me was born.

Yes I do agree the stars like Mithun,Hrithik,Shahid Kapoor are great dancers but the Common man touch to the songs was brought to the screen by this man.I have been his fan all through till now.Whatever the dances I do its just an inspiration drew by him.

A Perfect Street Dancer ..as they named him.. Govindaa Miss you Sir.
Dancing Common Man.........

Dance rocks........

An Eternal Tale...............

The fabulous rush of sunshine
through those  trees was so divine
Awesome is the word for that spot
To play some flute in that morning slot

Suddenly Sound of Bangles attacked my ear
Turned around in sense of fear
Saw you my angel in that red dress
Didn't waste a single minute found your address

Beautiful is too less to define sweet heart
Thanked the God for this work of Art
Got nervous in front of you but spoke everything
Asked my queen would you like me as your King

She shook her head in shy
I was for a minute touched the sky
Loneliness was thrown very far
I really felt like I was a czar

Deep in the heart I had kept you
It was a special place for only few
Never wanted to let you go anywhere
But He didn't wanted us to be a pair

Had to leave you for some reason
Left you alone in that beautiful season
Not like others, ours was a different tale
I missed you, I was a unlucky male

It was not you or not me
It was and will be always We
Might take sometime for our wounds to heal
But our Love will remain , Eternal what I feel

Childhood........ Height of Innocence

Dipping the biscuits into the Tea
Eating it in a style was me
Broken biscuit fell inside
As if I lost my life, I cried

Carrying such a heavy luggage
That too, at that very young age
I was forced to go to school
Thought my mom was the biggest fool

Didn't know what my dad was watching
A game of batting, bowling and fielding
For me,the only game was Hide and Seek
Rest were tough and I was little weak

Safely kept in the book, one birds feather
Everyday my job was to see that page in eager
My friend had said it will multiply
It never did, I don't know why??

Somehow we lost ourselves in this world
Now, Innocence is just a word
To get it back I can pay anything I could
I am truly Missing My Childhood :(

Loneliness.. a bitter truth

Once upon a time , Love was the only subject
I thought I was almost perfect
She came and showed me some more tricks
We laid our Love foundation with strong bricks

Let it be the rain or the sunshine
She was there for me my lady Lifeline
So happy we were together
Felt like I was the luckiest chap to get her

Life was struck suddenly by tragedy
God didn't gave me any clue and I wasn't even ready
She passed away in the midway of my Life
Left Her gift my son behind, my lovely wife

I bought him up with all love and affection
Still between us there was no connection
He eloped with his most loved lady
Didn't care for a moment about his lonely daddy

Sitting alone today on the rock of a Sea Shore
Getting wet in that heavy downpour
Past Memories drenched in the rain
There is and was no end to my grief and pain..

Cricket... From the Eyes of a Serious Viewer

Nuwan Kulasekara was about to bowl and Dhoni was on strike.I was sitting on the floor almost 10 inch away from the TV.(It was when Virat Kohli got out I thought, its the time to change my place and from the chair I jumped onto floor. Then a great partnership between Dhoni and Gambhir, I didn't move from my place) .The whole day's effort to make my team victorious was about to finish. Dhoni took his stance and next 20 sec was just magic , an experience I wont be able to explain to my grand children even though if my mind is in perfect condition at that time.

Yes, Cricket has been most fascinating thing in the world which I have seen, experienced and the fun which I have extracted from it is unbelievable. One of the sport which is such an integral part of most of the Indians.Even I am not different from any of them (a true Indian).

It was 1996 world cup when I started getting some lessons of cricket viewing from my father. Ohh... that is called sixer... ohh...this is called four...that guy without any job stands whole day  in the field and people shout at him simply and he nods his head or raises his fingers  is known as Umpire and so on. To be frank the Venki - Sohail spat in the quarter final at Chinnaswamy stadium, added some ghee to my interest in the cricket. Even though Kambli's tears had some negative effect, my cricket viewing career was on rise.

Life went on and cricket was with me always in my happy times and also during testing times.I would forget every single thing in the world while watching cricket. Especially if my heroes like Rahul Dravid ,Sachin, Jacques Kallis ,Michael Bevan , Glenn Mcgrath , Shane Warne ,Wasim Akram latest additions  Dale Steyn ,Kevin Pietersen,AB Devilliers  and  Chris Gayle are playing. It was and is kind of a emotional attachment with this game I have.

Certain cricketing moments which i would like to list down which has either given goosebumps or made me feel to be proud as Indian.
> As i already mentioned Aamir Sohail and Venkatesh Prasad spat in Bangalore was the most precious moment of my life.
>Laxman and Dravid Batting whole day in Kolkata test match after following on, an experience i can never forget.
>Anil Kumble's 10 wicket hall in Firoz shah kotla was maginificient.
>Sourav Ganguly's Dance at Lords after removing the jersey.
>Sachin's attack to Shoaib Akthar in 2003 world cup.
>Sehwag hitting a six to Saqlain MushtaQ to Complete his Triple.
>Sachins Double Hundred against mighty Proteas.
>Yuvraj Singhs Six Sixer's at Durban.
>Dhoni hitting a six of Nuwan Kulasekara in 2011 world cup(already mentioned).
and list goes on and still going on and I hope it will continue.

As a Cricket Fan I like all formats of the game , more though Test Cricket where I feel the exact ability of a cricketer is tested. ODI's certainly requires some more innovations, as T20 has certainly taken over as the Entertainment Product.I hope that all formats survive with their own uniqueness and keep us entertaining.

Cricket Rocks!!!!!!!!

Tribute To Josh Bangalore (Fun team in Tech Mahindra)

My mom always tell that we should always be thankful to those, because of whom we enjoyed or smiled or had a great moment of life.
I think Josh Bangalore was one of them who deserved that.
